The Skidmore Bandersnatchers – 2022-Present
Currently serving as President of the Skidmore Bandersnatchers, an audition-based a cappella group for lower voice parts. My role consists of organizing meeting times, scheduling rehearsals and performances, facilitating interclub communication, and fostering collaboration with other campus organizations. Most importantly, I strive to set a positive example for the rest of the group by maintaining a supportive and inclusive environment. I am forever grateful to be a member of the Banders. Neighborhood 3: Requisition of Doom – 2024
Acted in a zombie-themed thriller comedy play that merges video games with reality. I played all three Father-type roles in an ensemble-style cast. This role gave me the opportunity to play characters with starkly different personalities, such as the grizzled traditionalist versus the creepy neighbor, all to the same audience. Along with this, a quick-change sequence in under one minute provided a challenge and opportunity to increase my acting repotoire. Photo by Sue Kessler.
A Year with frog & Toad – 2024
Playing the lead role in this beloved children’s musical was a joy. I embraced Frog’s positive, simple, and direct cadence to connect with our youngest audience members. The highlight of my experience was the Sunday matinee, filled with a group of captivated children, as our other shows were past their bedtime. Photo by Logan Waugh.
The Year it Stops – 2023
The setting of this staged reading, written by my classmate Reyn Ricafort, allowed me to explore themes of vulnerability and identity during the COVID-19 lockdown. Working in a two-person cast deepened the emotional nuance of my character while navigating the storytelling and sociopolitical backdrop with a natural flow. Photo by Coltrane Cho.
After Jane – 2023
As my first theater performance at Skidmore, I joined the ensemble for the debut staged performance of After Jane. Movement theater was my primary challenge in this role, but I also served as a swing for three characters and stepped in as an understudy during one of the performances. Photo by Sue Kessler.
